Americans don't seem to know how to tilt a cab proper, they aren't familiar with European cab-overs.

It should've been prohibited to import a Scania or any European truck to North America

Not only it would mess up the look, circular tanks are outdated, ugly and out-fashioned as well. Round tanks belong on American trucks. Square tanks looks better on European trucks, the shape of the fuel tanks looks more modern compared to round tanks.

@Baker3939 Round tanks wouldn't look great on European trucks, round fuel tanks belong on an old American cabover

@sterlingodeaghaidh5086 You basically just retro-fitted your 90's F-150 with modern comforts, that doesn't make your pickup truck look modern. Yes, our 2024 trucks have had same cab style since the 80s, but clearly modernize appearance and modern cabs has also gotten bigger and safer.
1
@Mitchez You basically made your truck to look more "American" with the round tank.

@dawarmonky2122 Yes, I swear whenever Americans imports a foreign truck, they will always ruin them by adding amber identification lamps, bunch of chrome trim everywhere, old-school thin chrome mirrors, round fuel trucks, stacked chrome exhausts, side air filter to make it look "American". I don't know or get why Americans feel like "Americanize" everything? Sure 100% of US population prefer outdated US trucks.

People in the US are still too late. If you drive a Scania or any European truck, you would hear people say "What is that piece of junk? Get a real American truck!"
1
@evo3s75 Scania doesn't make convention style trucks anymore, they only make cabovers. If you're talking about the T-Series, that was discontinued in 2005.
1
Why do people want Scania to re-enter US market? I thought most American prefer convention trucks? Cabovers aren't suitable for US roads.
1
@davidnordin93 Yeah, but since the "S13" Scania engine is used International LT facelift, doesn't really count. If Scania re-enters the US market, the engines will be detuned and NOT be the same as Europe. Why do American want cabover semi when they know their roads are poorly maintained
