@yungboicontigo9278 Except the word "ute" in only used in Australia.

@lappol1 Most Europeans just find it funny that Americans get excited for vehicles that are still common in Europe. In Europe, hardly any people gets excited for this, since Tranporters/Caravelle are very common and just considered normal boring, but function van in Europe.
5
@Lionsheartification I love how people say that they're not a fan of screen, yet still own TV and monitors at home, even own a smartphone.
5
@saabreplay7553 I bet you hate people who own cars you don't like. I bet you go say to random people "Your car is absolutely garbage junk". How would you feel if someone says "Your car is absolutely garbage junk" to your face? I bet you'll cry. Also I bet you hate all older Nissan's as well, including the 350Z.
5
@lemcakes32422 I love how people act that any Bugatti are just rebadged VW Golf. I guess you're just a non-car guy? None of them are related to VW Golf or any VW models. You're just a non-car guy, you're just pretending to be car guy.
5
Fake stitching in plastic probably were never that common in North America than Europe. I think people do tend to forget that Doug lives in USA and people in USA never seen stuff that we see in Europe.
5
@kulaak-krii That's because Seat and Skoda share engines with VW models. On Seat and Skoda, the only VW badge is on the engine covers. You don't like any VW badges on the front and rear when removing the badges.
5
@davidhunternyc1 I would agree Ferrari FF with 5 door wouldn't look as good than it is with 3 doors. When the passenger compartment is accessible via the trunk, it counts as a door, at least in Europe. But not in North American, so Ferrari FF is counted as a 2-door, but in Europe, it's technically a 3-door shooting brake.
5
You noticed that this old automatic shifter is leather wrapped with exposed stitching idiot? Also Audi's modern shifters aren't that tall and aren't wrapped in leather with exposed stitching. I don't think you people know anything about cars, you non-car enthusiasts.
5
@bwofficial1776 Most people, especially car enthusiasts just love to hate any car for some or even for no reason Most car enthusiasts likes to pretend that everyone are car enthusiasts, but in reality they forget that some people aren't car enthusiasts and don't really care about cars.
5
Are you people that stupid? White interior is an option, not standard. I swear whenever Doug reviews a car with a white interior, you people always think white interiors comes as standard White interior in optional, typical American car enthusiasts. VW have never offered white interior as standard, unlike Tesla. If you don't like it, then don't order one in white interior, or just simply don't buy the cars. It's not that hard. Other people are allowed to have white interior because it's their cars.
5
@ad0rno I think he meant to say that modern cars in North America aren't are basic anymore. Despite this, Mitsubishi Mirage is one of the most basic in North America. Even the modern Fiat Panda is still basic, obviously has more safety features. Safety features are necessary an even require on all cars, even on most basic ones require airbags.
5
@luvadougla And if it's not a V8 model, you'll probably find the owner house, knocking his door and kill him for no choosing a V8. I swear everyone in North America think all road vehicles must have a V8 engine, even if they're electric.
5
I'm calling it, you people are just assuming everything.
4
Why do people assume that everyone in the world has a YouTube Account. Clearly Doug meant 'everyone ' in real life, not on YouTube.
4
The X-Class probably wouldn't even comply with US regulations and emissions, Mercedes X-class was discontinued in 2020.
4
@2Mortal Whenever Doug DeMuro or Matt Watson from Carwow reviews a Volkswagen, I still see people making fun of VW and talking about dieselgate. I just HATE when people talks about dieselgate and thinks that Volkswagen is the only manufacturer in the world to have a scandal. People only complain about Volkswagen and wonder why they still even exist. People even complain about other people still own them. I bet people think buying or still owning a VW should be illegal.
4
Yes, only. It was made in 2000's and early 2010's, what did you expect?
4
It's like 8th generation Honda Civic used to look different around the world. Even European model FK1 had more aggressively styled, the front end had a perspex cover resembling a lamp cluster replaces the grille, even the rear tail lights are also similarly styled. It also had triangular accents are found front and back, including the triangular fog-lamps in front and even the dual triangle exhaust tips are triangular.
4
Are you American offended that Audi RS 2 was never sold in North America?
4
He's American, what do you expect? BMW's earliest "infotainment" center existed in the 70's
4
It's was built in 1980's what did you expect idiots. Why are people on YT comments always complain like "Luxury, but can't be bothered to conceal the screws". Does it really matter if the screws are concealed or not? Are you people gonna complain, why inexpensive hatchbacks have exposed exterior paint on the doors next?
4
@tmass1 You don't like when people make mistakes?
4
All interiors of any vehicles get dirty over time, even if you didn't sat inside the car for days. Why don't people understand that all interiors get dirty over time? If you own any car and park it inside a garage, the interior will get dusty overnight. Are you people stupid or what? Everyone gets dirty, even if you don't touch them.
4
When people say interior, they mean the dashboard.
4
You cannot laugh in i3 back in 2003, that car didn't existed. E65 7-Series was the most controversial BMW ever made back in early 2000's. Clearly you people weren't alive back then. Why do people think that BMW i3 and G80 M3 existed in 2003?
4
People are just stupid.
4
@matthewdurkee5673 I love how people keep saying "wait till all this stuff starts to break" without realizing that even mechanical stuff can break as well.
4
@brogenville God you Americans really loving hating on other people's work, you are so rude like most Americans, you clearly hate everything what other people do.
4
@117johnpar "Screens really are tacky" Do you also think screen look tacky in houses? You know people have computer monitors and TV at home as well. I don't get why people think screens in new cars are tacky, but don't think screens in 2000's older cars are tacky. Plus smartphone, tablets, some monitors were touchscreen before implementing them into cars.
4
Americans surely loves using the word "pickup truck" for everything. I bet Americans also call ambulances and normal cars, even motorcycles and scooters for "pickup trucks". Americans also think buses and semi trucks are pickup trucks.
4
"The next model just tried to be different, like a Citroen car, lost the jaguar spirit and ended like a regular car. What a shame!" Some people disagree, all cars are regular cars, except performance or limited models. Even the standard Jaguar XJ is a regular car. If you think you can make a better car, then go and open your own car factory, I'm sure people will call your designs "too generic".
4
@laughtoutlaud Because they make affordable cars unaffordable. Car guys even make any Toyota Camry and Corolla unaffordable for most people. Car guys even make a Mitsubishi Mirage unaffordable for most people.
4
@sunkingozy5051 Most Americans stopped buying wagons and shifted towards SUVs in the 1990's. Why would Cadillac or any manufacturer sell a wagon for US market when wagon don't sell well? If you want a wagon, then import one from Europe or anywhere else?
4
I love when people get excited for the Tesla Models S Plaid when Their interior and build quality is shit.
4
@OPENXAIMER Unlike USA, many European countries use E-Class as taxis, including the estate models.
4
"This car wasn't just "fuel injected"... It had gasoline direct injection, a whole 60 year before it was a thing in modern cars!" 300SL was considered a "modern car" back in 1950's. I love how people forget that older cars were used to be modern back then. It's like art deco was considered modern back in 1930's, now considered ""old" and "outdated".
4
Cars like these were also new once, so I guess back in the 90's you found 80's cars more interesting?
4
@VeriStrawberi Why do people think that only supercars can catch fire? All cars can catch fire, not just supercars. I bet you think Toyota Supra, 1st gen Honda NSX, Nissan Skyline and all your favorite cars can never catch fire.
4
So Americans and Canadians find it annoying the lack any EV hatches when hatches aren't as popular in North America? Hatches don't tend sell well in US and Canada because most people prefer SUV''s and big ass pickup trucks. Good thing hatchbacks and wagons are still popular in Europe.
4
More like When Doug reviews some ultra rare fast supercar : People be like "I'm wishing death on Doug" When Doug reviews a regular 2000s sedan : People be like "Oh my god, marry me!?"
4
Then marry it.
4
@shabut You do know that some people can choose to open the sliding door inside the cabin and never close it again.
4
You can use the table for other things, such as using your laptop as Doug said. It's not only for eating, not many people would want to eat in their trucks.
4
@7.3gss Not when you collide into SUV's, they do more damage them colliding into hatchbacks, sedans, wagons.
4
I love how most people complain about screen in cars, bet never seem to complain about children playing on their iPads in the backseats with no sound.
4
@Techandfut You just think all vehicle look terrible, even old vehicles from pre-2000's
4
@JDMSwervo2001 I bet you can't tell the difference between a facelift and pre-facelift. 2012-2015 Model S had a black nose cone, which 2016-presents Model S doesn't. Plus 2016-present Model S has different headlights than 2012-2015 Model S. Are you really a car enthusiast or what? If you can't tell the difference between models, you're not a real car enthusiast.
4
So people dislike having stuck on infotainment screen, but wants stuck on gauge clusters? People make no sense. I thought people prefer everything to be integrated into the dash?
4
It's more like some car manufacturers don't understand YouTube.
