I don't understand why people complain about cars having fuel door? And the fact people like clean looking lines, yet all cars have cut-outs for the doors, fuel door, hood, trunk, fenders, bumpers, headlights, taillights, etc.

Not really a same for people who live in Europe and Asia. Ford only discontinued it in North America because SUVs more popular, while hatchbacks and estates are still popular in Europe and Asia. Europeans did the right thing to heavily tax on SUVs, they burn through fuel quicker than smaller cars.

"Probably feels like a smart phone from 2013" You obviously were alive back in 2013. Smartphone were faster and more responsive than any Ford's sync system in 2013

@DeliciousHotShmoze If they did put a square piece on the other side, then people will think it's a fuel door and complain that the identical piece doesn't open. People don't like fake pieces.

@Edridx I don't think Doug isn't that much into gaming, he's more like a car guy, but he's not a traditional car guy.

@Edridx How does a car guy look like them, everyone can be car guy regardless how they look.

European manufacturers always been more innovating than American manufacturers because US Governments banned lot of new innovations from the manufacturers. For example US banned directional headlights, so Citroën's DS and SM had fixed sealed beams headlights and no glass cover, unlike European models. Meanwhile Canada allows European headlamps, but not USA.

In North America, all cars usually doesn't come with first aid kits, they aren't mandatory. In Europe, first aid kit is mandatory in all cars. Warning triangle is also mandatory in Europe, but not in USA. All dealerships in North America removes the warning triangle before selling them.

@CWINDOWSsystem32 If you're pretty sure cars in North American don't have warning triangle to begin with, why do some USDM European cars still have them. On some European cars Doug reviewed still has a warning triangle, as well with first aid kit. I don't get why doesn't USDM European cars have warning triangle, but has a first aid kit?

@Bbronson They're not even your kids.

Ford Ka wasn't sold in North America, they've made by Ford Europe.

Why do American always get excited when European manufacturers launches a new car?

@mythosallen32 Back in your days, not all cars had fuel cap behind the license plate. I think putting the fuel cap behind the plate is illegal now. People complain about multi-step process, yet people don't complain about unscrewing a fuel cap? Also imagine trying to unscrew the license plate to get access to the fuel cap and having other driver looking at your ass while refilling your car?
