I know someone who had a relationship similar to Harley Quinn’s relationship with Joker. This girl loved her partner, but he was emotionally and physically abusive, and she believed him every time he told her he was sorry. One day, she had enough and left him, despite his pathetic pleas that he really loved her and would change. Luckily she didn’t believe him and later ended up with the real love of her life. I just wish all cases of domestic abuse ended that way.
