Great video and having lived in South America (Chile and Argentina) can say South America as a whole is a unique place to live but would not live their again, very different living long-term verse a short-term trip. Also, note in Chile you will need to live in a pretty decent area to avoid crime, but one issue in Chile is often what appears to look like a nice area can actually become pretty sketchy at night and as they say looks can be deceiving. Regarding, Paraguay not so sure this is a very safe place. Many Paraguayans live in Argentina and will all state that Paraguay has a pretty high rate of crime but I suppose that depends on the city and area of the city one is living. Regarding Uruguay that is another country I visited in 2014 and really enjoyed it, very tranquil and absolutely the safety ratings of Uruguay are not over hyped. Uruguay is both very European and modern and often you will feel like you are somewhere in Europe if you travel to certain parts of Uruguay. Uruguay also has a really cool vibe if you are more of the "hippy"/musician type that just wants to sit back and enjoy life, as many people will go to Uruguay to live this type of lifestyle and it has a climate system and culture that is well designed for this type of lifestyle.

@sebazepeda7439 Yes certainly agree with you on that one, had great friends from southern Chile. One thing Andrew did not mention about Chile, is the people are very hospitable, whenever I needed a place to stay when transitioning apartments my friends were more then happy to help me out. In fact I had one friend that let me stay with him for almost 3 weeks and refused to take money when I offered it to him. To this day some of the most generous people with the general economic conditions of the people.

@andreferrer9350 I lived in Valparaiso region from 2013 to 2015 so in this respect would be referring to this area and Santiago. Perhaps there has been some change their since I left but I myself had a few close calls where I was almost robbed in both Vina and Valparaiso. Keep in mind though that that usually took place at nighttime but in daytime is probally nice enough in most of those areas. With that being said the landscape/geography of that part of Chile is absolutely beautiful and was definitely something I will always remember!
