@drop_messages6226 You must not know much about Illinois teachers, this is in fact a state where there is quite a bit of support for teachers. As someone that lives in Europe, would say that teachers in America still have it some of the best, compared to other countries in the world. With that being said I do think that the standards for teachers must be raised in other countries and people must be more motivated and encouraged to go into this profession. My brother works with Chinese students everyday remotely from Europe and he gets paid very well for his teaching job, as the Chinese understand the value of a good teacher and will pay well for that education. Likewise, it is notable how strong the east Asian countries perform academically (i.e. China, Japan, Korea) and the high emphasis they place on education in general.
