Very good video. I had started living abroad before I even watched Youtube and had heard the concept of a digital nomad or travel blogger, that was in 2012. I first lived in Chile as a student, worker for 2 years as a university student. Similar to yourself much of my interest in living abroad had to do with lifestyle and preference to live outside USA. It had very little to do with work, taxes, ect... and overtime realized I preferred to be outside the country, just did not like living in Chile after 2 years. From this experience and being back in USA I realized eastern Europe was a better fit for me with the type of person I was and after being in North eastern Europe (Russia, Estonia) for a 1.5 years know this part of the world is a better fit for me now but this first experience was so pivotal in choosing eastern Europe over South America. Looking back I am so glad I left South America and realize now just how impractical it would have been for me long term. So many people point out the nice weather of South America but overlook so many aspects of their society that are not very practical for a foreign person. Likewise, people will point out the climate system in Estonia and Karelian province of Russia (i.e. St. Petersburg) and I am like I will take this climate anyday along with all the other aspects of these places. It does not hurt either, I have a liking for blond and brunette Russian women lol, another story for another time. The key point for everyone to understand here is pick what is comfortable for you not anyone else, people are all different. Also, understand if you don't like a place within first few months of living in that country, it is unlikely to improve and will likely get worse over time. Have a nice weekend all!
