Very interesting input and also parallels my experience while living in Russia. As you say their is no state coming to a woman's aid. If they screw with the wrong guy they are royally screwed unless they have family members that can come through to help in this situation. As you stated it really is a different world living in Ukraine and Russia and is very very difficult for someone to understand the mentality of those places unless you have lived their before. Also note for men initially these are tougher countries especially in your earlier days and really takes a tough mindset to get through the first phases of living in one of those countries as an expat. Even after leaving Russia and coming to Estonia, a country just 100 miles from the Russian border was a like a night and day difference compared to certain aspects of my time living in Russia. As you noted also the women do have standards in these places and a guy will definitely need to bring their A game to be successful in one of these places. In certain respects I would argue that they have even higher standards in some facets if you are foreign and this should be understood if a guy is relocating to one of these countries. As I stated before, it really is a different world in these countries, I will speak in the case of Russia but for me at this point I have permanently left America and will remain in eastern Europe for as long as I can and continue to improve my Russian skills and carry on my day to day affairs. Also, note some of Richard Cooper's advice is very universal and excellent for every man out their, but certain things are not applicable if you are traveling to Russia in which case I would recommend you find a man in Russia specializing in this area, and use videos with subtitles in English. Interesting advice here and in some ways reminds me of dating a Russian lol. You will have to do a episode Rich, on Russians vs Western woman, or "What to expect if you attempt to bring your Svetlana back with you from Russia" to USA or Canada. I have heard men say that Asian women don't adapt to western cultures well when they bring them back which comes as no surprise to me, completely different systems they are brought up under and a mindset difference foreign to the west.
