The Mound Building Culture extended throughout a wide area down the Mississippi and east to parts of western Georgia and the Carolinas. And the trade routes were extensive. The estimation of the first arrivals of Asian immigrants to the Americas has steadily been pushed back with new discoveries and DNA. What is interesting is the patterns of human development in each continent seems to follow a similiar path. You have to wonder if it's encoded in our DNA.

@PaulTheSkeptic No, I'm referring to the fact that human civilizations develop in a predictable pattern across cultural lines if you look at the growth from hunter gatherers to advanced urban civilizations.

The authories do not want those mounds and there contents looted or plowed under like scores of mounds from Alabama to Illinois met their demise in the past.

We are doing right now we just dress it up as"healthcare".

Christianity had a role in ending human sacrifices as did Islam.

Ancient history at this point. This goes deeper into history and involves religious bigotry juat like EU countries. In the mideast and EU countries the Jews were treated like Black slaves in the Americas and Carribean.

Amazing buildings and the caligraphy is beautiful.
2
Native languages are actively being preserved through programs, some at community colleges, etc by Native Speakers. I have a book of Cherokee language and alphabet/ dictionary that I bought at the Cherokee Museum in Cherokee, NC.
2
My ancestors intermarried with Native Peoples. This was common in early settlements on the frontier in the eastern US prior to President Jackson's removal due to the gold strikes in the Carolinas and Georgia on Native lands.

And we too are guilty. We just call it " gender affirming care". Future generations will look back and wonder at our behavior wirh horror.
2
We actually copied Native American political structures in forming the US.
2
We had family reunions there. But their are mounds also in North Georgia and the Carolinas.

Unrestricted abortions and gender " choice" mutilations based on untreated dysphoria?

Hamas's evil acts Oct 7th at the behest of Iran to stop the scheduled peace talks in Tel Aviv between the Arab countries and Israel..

No human society is entirely peaceful. To assume so is frankly racist. Violence occured among Native People's before and after Europeans arrived. Like all human societies each is unique, special and some are more peaceful than others. History should be taught as free of bias both good and bad not turned into a either a fairy tale of all virtue or all evil. We are cursed in this country with idiots teaching biased history during different periods of portraying Native Peoples as either evil savages or total saints. Native Peoples were like every human society with both good and bad behaviors like every human society. And this is true of Europeans as well who have conquered others and been conquered. And it's time to look at all history on every continent warts and all through unbiased and clear lens because it is a lie if we color it.

Like the Irish? Or the Albanians, or the Christians and Jews in the middle east, or the Uyghers in China today? Humans have been doing this to each other since day one. As a descendent of both sides I am tired of the BS virtue signaling by the left distorting our history like kids stomping anothers sand castle at the beach. To what purpose? More divisiveness? The First Thanksgiving was peaceful and the holiday v itself was by Lincoln as the godawful bloody Civil War was coming to an end. So let's can the leftist hate and rejoice in our families and be thankful Is that so bad? I mean we just came out of a worldwide pandemuc!

Female babies were often left to die by Romans by exposure and in many cultures.

And that is what Democrats have tried on multiple occaisons in the USA.eg,after the Civil War when they nullified the Constitution's 14th Amendment with their Jim Crow" seperate but equal" rubbish, their filibuster abuse to block every civil rights law,and recently the unprecedented legal abuse with lawfare to nullify the 2016 election results printed up illegal paper ballot in 2020,and then all the bogus lawfare.

I'm 73 and I was taught about the Native Americans before Columbus. Lol! The difference today is new discoveries and DNA now can tell us where the First Peoples came from, when each group came and the variety of cultures thanks to advances in science. The timeline for example has been pushed back by several thousand years. And the methods of travel too have been broadened, etc.

True but life was not easy if you were a hunter gatherer or a settled farming community with warring neighbors. Native peoples faced the same hardships as every human population on every continent both before and after the appearance of Europeans. The history of humanity is one of restless adventuring and war between periods of peace. Lol! Nothing unique here despite the BS they teach you in school. Human nature is human nature.
