My Mom gave me Ann Frank's Diary to read as a girl. It was very moving and so sad that all her potential ended at the camp but that her story and spirit lived on to inspire others. My Dad was a B24 pilot in WW2 and he flew into parts of Europe at night to drop not bombs but supplies to the resistence and personnel and money against the Nazis. It was at night with just torch light sometimes and short runways in the north over fjords. No radar either just road maps.All were heros.

@bbooher9663 Thank you on his behalf. They were truly the Greatest Generation. And his mother my Grandma was literally a "Rosie the Riveter'. She was a widow and went to work in a defence plant building tanks!

I read about her some years ago. This took great courage to defy and swim against the tide. We desperately need real history to be taught in our schools. They are teaching kids in American schools that Jews were in control of the slave trade. This is a damnable lie but being taught. And this is not the rightwing doing it. They are also taught Jews aren't Jews but Europeans and Israel is a colony and facist. This evil is the result of ignorant children being taught radicalized revisionist neo-marxist garbage not true history. Some even deny the influence of Judeo-Christian ideas ending slavery after thousands of years of acceptance of it on every continent but one. There is no wonder anti-semetism is becoming a problem even at universities. My father in WW2 and men and women in the resistence did not risk all for this mess to be peddled again in the 21st century.
