The changes brought by the legal help that came with the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the emotional impact of Dr.King's speeches changed hearts too as well as laws. At 73 I too saw the incredible changes. We literally went from complete apartheid seperation of the races to an open society. It didn't happen over night but it was rapid compared to four hundred years of no one thinking to question it!

Justice Thomas has been the target of a racist Democrat party witch hunt since he humiliated that pack of old bigots at his confirmation hearing headed up by Joe Biden when they attempted to block his nomination with the old smear from Jim Crow days that Black men are a danger to women with a lie from a young woman who's career he had mentored for years. Think how bitter that must have been for him. And what a farce it was. And he called it what it was, " A high tech lynching". And he was right. All his other female co-workers praised his conduct. And being a fellow Savannian and knowing his struggles to rise up from poverty and Jim Crow their continued attacks on him show how little Democrats have really changed.

  17. Affirmative action was a needed tool in the past. Now it's education as a goal not victimhood that liberals preach. I remember right after the passage of the 1964 Civil Right Act. Black children for the first time did not have to leave the south to go to school. Colleges opened their doors and scholarships and grants were available. That was affir mative action. But then things changed. Drugs, welfare, absent fathers and teen pregnancies and liberal lies telling kids you can't learn and activist fools claiming education was selling out. It was and is heartbreaking. When Obama was elected it renewed hope. But education is still the key. And never ever let some fool tell you you can't learn because of race or ethnicity! I tutored children right out of two hundred years of Jim Crow where parents and grandparents had no chance at school. Those kids were bright as new pennies. And they could learn and were eager to learn. I saw grades go from Ds to Bs and better. It wasn't me it was them eager to learn. We need mentoring programs in our public schools like back then where children are struggling. It's virtually cost free using older high school or college kid volunteers. And it sure beats graduating children who can't read or do math.

  49. All people deserve respect but sexual orientation is not education. It is propaganda. Kids are failing reading and math. Teach subjects not propaganda for alternative lifestyles that parents do not want. They pay your salaries. Best remember that. And school boards can and should be voted out if they assault parent's by calling the FBI on them, refuse to listen or defy and disdain parental concerns or adopt policies that literally puts female student's physical safety at risk.
