  1. Unprecedented such widespread destruction. It is awful after a hurricane. It's hot, humid,and no electricity for days,and food spoils,water systems are down. But this with whole communities and major roads gone is g-d awful. Hats off to first responders,line men,and charities,and the Guards.

  3. Like west Florida years if ever. We have people still rebuilding in Florida from past storms. And some people will just walk away. Then there's the insurance companies corruption denying claims for faithful clients who've paid their premiums.

  4. These remote rural areas may have had more of a chance if they had Starlinks. I've been in these areas for decades camping and hiking and you have a profound sense of both the beauty and the isolation. Isolation is deadly in a storm like Helene. The FAA canceled Starlinks contract in a fit of political animus and lied about why thus depriving rural communities of needed links to vital communications. There is virtually no cell signals outside of towns and when cell towers go down you have zero.

  6. Slandered like Dr.King was by Democrats in the 60's. The Demokkkrats have not changed. And Democrat Governor Cooper was AWOL in NC and the rescuer/ first responders had to call Robinson instead. He authorized the intitial response to Helene.

  7.  @Musicman-y7v  They are literally changing damage assesments by their own agents of storm damages back in the offices w/o the agents knowledge and screwing the insured in Florida. Watch the 60 Minutes expose' on how they roll.
