  1. My southern grandma did that with grits. It was the hominy style corn meal and white not the yellow and she too would let it set up and fry it. My cousin visited us and she had no idea what it was and put sugar on grits! We always are it with butter, or gravy,or shrimp. That sugar was too much! Lol!

  2. Dad says they ate a lot of pint beans and corn bread. He never ate them as an adult. Lol!
