Actually you're right but the Palestinian name was given to the new Roman province after Jews rebelled and it was am insult to the Jews as you were correct it referred to the Phillistines Jews defeated earlier. There was never an actual palestinian state. And Arabs did not show up til 700 AD. There have always been Jews there. All this mythical " palestine" is propaganda to excuse terror.
