  13.  @emmam-rr8qe  You have a very high opinion of yourself. You seem to think that only YOUR opinion of what the past means matters and that others who have different opinions are racists and bigots. That's utter nonsense. Rewriting history or refusing to see the entire picture is why "woke" people are regarded as self-loathing. If you choose to hate your race and want to act as if you're personally responsible for the acts of others, then do so. However, others are not required to think as you do. If you want to act in a civilized manner, then stop acting like the opinions of others is a reason for you to self-righteously eliminate them from society. They are no less entitled to an opinion than you are. The difference is that real historians don't act as if they are the only ones with an answer that is correct. FYI, many Africans were sold into slavery by OTHER BLACK PEOPLE. It is STILL happening in Africa today, yet that isn't mentioned. Yet the "woke" ignore that fact by blaming all white people (even those whose families never owned slaves) and excusing all black people (even those whose ancestors sold other blacks into slavery). That is outrageous. Just as those who call the internment during WWII in the US racist against the Japanese, while ignoring the fact that Germans and Italians were ALSO interned. You ignore facts for only one of two reasons. You are either too lazy to investigate far enough to uncover the ENTIRE truth, or you have an agenda and are choosing to ignore that which doesn't support the narrative you want to push. Neither of those things is admirable. People need to be responsible for their OWN actions, not those of people years before. And people like you need to understand that you are not the arbiter of right and wrong on the planet. Your attitude is nasty and obnoxious, yet you are entitled to speak. Afford others the same courtesy if you expect to be taken seriously. Otherwise, you are just another person who can't defend their opinions on merit, so they have to attack the character of the person they are arguing with. Resorting to character assassination is what people do when they can't defend their opinions. THAT is appalling.
