  8. The fact that American Evangelicalism has normalized and propagandized the majority of the American Church to believe that voting Democrat is heretical, is textbook idolatry. The far right Evangelicals literally believe that Trump is divinely anointed by God. They basically worship Him. If you were a Christian that said you were voting for Biden, immediately, you'd have an army of Evangelicals questioning the legitimacy of your faith and salvation, telling you that you've fallen away and need to repent. If you call out a Democrat politician as evil, the American Church will say Amen, but if you call out a Republican politician as evil, the American Church cancels you as a heretic. It's sickening.

He ignores other verses in the scriptures like in Matthew where just says: "Have you not read that He who made them in the beginning made them male and female? >>For this reason<< a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to His wife, and the two shall become one flesh."

If you love God, you'll obey His commands. Using God's love as an excuse to keep sinning cheapens and takes advantage of God's grace. It's like apologizing to your parents, then immediately continuing to deliberately disobey them while calling your parents hateful, intolerant, and judgmental for not validating your blatant, unrepentant sin. And that's heretical.

  17.  @supremogeno3344  We're called to follow God. Not the Church. The Church leaders of Jesus's day, the Pharisees, were the ones who murdered Jesus. So an allegiance to a religion rather than a relationship with Jesus is pretty absurd.

  18.  @livid7447  He's not denying the reality of what he's going through. He's just choosing not to act on it. There's a big difference between acknowledging your sexuality and choosing to commit your life to celibacy, and straight up denying the reality of your sexuality. Because the later is lying to yourself, but he wasn't doing that. He's honest about his sexuality and that's very healthy celibacy. It's not repression unless you try to convince yourself that you aren't straight, and that's not healthy.

  19.  @Thisissilly222  God is love and God is joy. Our source of love and joy come only from the Holy Spirit as He is the author of love and joy. God is unchanging (Malachi 8:8). He is always eternal peace, therefore God always satisfies. If we place our source of joy in ourselves or worldly things, we will be dissapointed because circumstances change and we sin and dissapoint ourselves, so our joy will fluxuate as well. Placing your joy in Christ alone secures your peace.

  20.  @Nyyre  Firstly, the Gospels were not written in Greek. They were written in Hebrew/Aramaic. Secondly, your argument is a stretch. If that was the case, then Jesus wouldn't have said "for this reason." For this reason ties the binary genders to the definition of marriage. Jesus is saying that we have marriage because we are male and female. That's far more consistent with the scriptures. Especially when you consider all of the Bible's other verses on sexual ethics.

We are all born sinners with fallen desires. That's why we need Jesus to be our savior in the first place.   29.  @supremogeno3344  Not exactly. Our fellowship with other believers should be dictated by God's Word, and God's Word commands us to have the wisdom and discernment of the Holy Spirit. The Bible commands us to hold each other accountable in fellowship and to rebuke each other when we sin. That requires wisdom and discernment from our own personal time with Jesus. This is critically important because that is the key to discerning the difference between true believers and teachers, and false believers and teachers. Our personal relationship with Christ is always the priority because that's the only thing that will save us and guard our hearts and minds from sin and deception. Going to Church will be meaningless when we die because going to Church is not being transformed. Get in the Word my friend. That is where all the answers to your questions lie.

  31. Actually you have it wrong. Conservatives head Jesus's command to deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Him. Progressives however twist the scriptures into arguing that denying yourself is actually judgmental and hateful, and thus attempting to justify their sins.

  34.  @chrissonofpear1384  Wrong. We are saved by Jesus's death and resurrection. He took the punishment that we deserved on the cross for us and defeated the death were doomed to. We are saved only by grace through faith alone, not by works. No other way (Romans 3:23-24, Ephesians 2:8-9). "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9) Notice that Paul writes "believe in your heart." God wants doesn't just that we are already saved freely by grace through faith alone, a gift that we cannot earn, but He wants us be assured and confident in our salvation. Having faith in our salvation is trusting and having faith that God is always with us and that our souls are safe in His hands. That's why Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. Nobody comes to the father, but through me (John 14:6).

The lukewarm Christians that continue to live in sin, taking advantage of God's grace, thinking that they are saved, the legalists like the Pharisees that think that we are saved by works, and the unbeliever that denies Christ, but thinks that they deserve Heaven because they're a so called "good person," which doesn't exist (Romans 3:10). 1 Corinthians 3:13 is referring to the Great White Throne Judgement, where all unbelievers will face eternal punishment to different degrees according to their works. The very fate and judicial system they chose. And it won't be pretty.
