  1. That's not true. Most Latin Americans are mixed. The term for Latin Americans with a mix of European and Indigenous DNA are called "mestizo," which make up 70% of all Latin Americans. The remaining 30% are descendants of the indigenous people and African slaves who didn't marry with any Europeans. There's even large Asian minorities along the Latin American Pacific Coast.

  2. ​ @jessy8a10  Yes. The reason why the meaning of term changed is because Latin Americans started calling themselves "latinos/latinas" as a way to distance themselves from Europe.
