The UK isn't the only free country on Earth though. The UK being stupid does not make America special. It just makes the UK exceptionally stupid. No other free country on Earth will arrest you over speech like this. Hell, the UK actually arrested a woman for silently praying in public. She didn't even audibly say a single word either.

@ramisama88 There's a very big difference between having an opinion and inciting violence. Inciting violence is an act of terrorism. Having a shit take doesn't harm anyone. It just makes you a clown.

Isn't the UK the only country in the free world to have such draconian speech laws? I've never heard of anyone getting arrested over speech outside of the UK. Usually, the only times you see someone with police at their door over online comments is if they're inciting violence or plotting a terrorist attack of some kind.

Banning assault rifles and banning all guns are two different things. There's a very big difference between being legally allowed to own a weapon and having the proper restrictions in place to prevent lethal from falling into anyone's hands. Most countries allow you to own a gun, but they require you to get a permit that proves that you aren't a threat to the public. America is the only country on Earth that does not require a permit and is conveniently the only country with mass shooting every week.
