  2. I don't see Korea reuniting unless the Chinese government collapses. If the CCP collapses and gets replaced with a Western-friendly democracy, then that would leave North Korea doomed, because not only is communist China their only formal ally and trade partner, but a pro-Western China on their northern border would also leave them surrounded and vulnerable to being invaded and conquered pretty easily. Especially if Russia collapses and China is able to reclaim Outer Manchuria, eliminating the small border North Korea shares with Russia.
