  1. New York has a lot more greenery than you would think. There's A LOT of parks throughout New York. The parks are one of the hallmarks of the city. And the residential areas are basically suburbs with lots of tall trees, grass lawns on top of that.

  3. Just like any city, New York has good areas and bad areas. But what makes the stereotype of New York being a dumpster stand out so much more than other cities is the fact the dichotomy between the good areas and the bad areas. The good areas are amazing, while the bad areas are actual hell. And there's actually way more good areas than you may think. New York is also mostly residential, despite what the towering icon that is Manhattan would lead you to believe.
