The last time America imposed a universal 100% tariff on all imports into the country, it caused The Great Depression because every country selling to us started selling at a loss, forcing them to implement their own 100% tariff to make up the difference. It created a chain reaction of the entire global trade market bleeding money. Yet Trump promised to bring this back at the RNC at a time of high inflation and a shrinking middle class. What could possibly go wrong?

It's absolutely insane how these people complain how the green transition is stifling the economy because it's so expensive while being completely unable to comprehend the costs of not transitioning. You really think cleaning up ecological disasters, rebuilding entire cities destroyed by more frequent natural disasters, and ending the housing crisis with mass climate migration will be cheap? These people seem to think that oil is an unlimited resource. It's not. We only have 47 more years worth of oil left. What will we do then if we don't transition now? Will completely destroying the climate and causing a mass extinction have been worth it then? They keep yapping about the economy like it's the only thing that matters. There are in fact other issues worth worrying about.

  9. No, it doesn't. We just need to get of our restrictive zoning laws and building codes so that it's actually legal to build housing. Co-ops alone doesn't solve the problem. We need a mass wave of housing diversity.

How many more Epstein's and P Diddy's is it going to take for us to finally realize that poverty is not a "moral failure?" It's a policy choice. Banning homelessness is the most out of sight, out of mind "solution" you could possibly choose.

  18. I saw an analogy that's so true. Americans think it's freedom to sleep with a rifle under your pillow to protect yourself, but isn't true freedom not needing one? It's the same thing here. Is it freedom to not where a mask or not need it? The less you wear it, the more we'll need it. Look at the stats. It's not hard. Every other country that wore masks no problem has flattened the curve. A mask is literally just a piece of fabric. It doesn't infringe on anything. Get over it. Ya'll are just butthurt, selfish, and in denial.

The fact that being forced to drive everywhere for everything with all housing options other than a single family being banned in most places is considered "freedom," but being given the freedom to be able to get around without the need for a car with a diversity of housing options is big government tyranny, is automobile realism at its finest.

  20. Aside from the National Stadium, the Gymnastics arena, Volleyball arena, and Field Hockey stadiums are all going to remain permanent venues. They're the 3rd largest economy. They'll recover from this.
