  4. If trucks are what you care about, fight for the more spacious and fuel efficient flat beds to be brought back as well as for the bans on kei vehicles to be lifted. The more fuel efficient the vehicle is, the cheaper it is, and kei vehicles are being imported now because they're so cheap. And because they're more fuel efficient, they produce far less carbon emissions. There are literally no downsides to them.

  6.  @AppalachianMountaineer1863  The regulations are not what's causing the rise of huge vehicles. It's the fact that the auto and oil industries lobbied to keep SUV's and pickups exempt from CAFE standards. CAFE is fuel economy. The bigger the vehicle, the more gas is required to run it and the faster it burns out, meaning more money for the oil industry. Remove that exempt status and the auto industry will be forced to go back to making small trucks again.
