I have looked into the last Great Depression and economist then was telling everyone nothing to fear everything will be fine and then they wake up one morning and all their money and jobs have disappeared.

If this was a real organic war between world powers Russia would have already launched nuclear strikes against the US. The US has provided weapons and intelligence information so there is no reason why Putin hasn't struck the us already other than this is a staged War.
