  1. People in the US know the name of Frederick Douglass but almost nobody knows he ran for vice president with a woman at the head of the ticket. Yes in the 1800s a white woman ran for president with a black man as her running mate.

  2.  @OmANnIe  my lack of knowledge led me to this find as I thought I had heard Frederick Douglass was president. 😂 Someone challenged me on that and when I searched to find out I made the discovery that I hadn't ever heard before and I am 65 years old. You are welcome.

  3.  @ericktellez7632  if one man has power other people are slaves. We just went from chattel slavery to political slavery as Frederick Douglass wrote about. He escaped just to find himself in another form of slavery.

  5.  @maquiavelo50  Perhaps I wanted to raise curiosity so that people would research it themselves. Fredrick Douglas referred to government as political slavery. People could have discovered that and be forced to contemplate on the reality they find themselves in. The best way to keep slaves is to convince them they are free.

  7. Enforcement of US drug policies is the source of most of Mexico's problems. Do people think this woman is god ? Only people can change their situations and the state is the source of most of their problems. All the state can do is add more violence to the equation. In villages that exists without the state's influences don't have these problems.
