  1. A Japanese car is what I'd have for my commuter car because they're the most reliable. A German car (or any European car) would be my fun/luxury car because they're the most enjoyable to drive.

  2. Jonathan Y Wu agreed as a German car enthusiast I have to give it to Japanese cars as far as lasting long goes. My parents own both. Last year we had to trade in our 04 BMW 325xi with 151K on it because it needed a new engine & many other problems it had, My dad's 2003 Accord has 196K on it & besides routine maintenance he only had to replace the oxygen sensor & the starter. But as far as driving experience goes German cars are far superior.
