Everyone is missing the point.
The fact that these hijabs make it in mainstream malls, and the fashion industry, and are being presented to non hijab wearers, IS the problem! It is slowly infiltrating our society.
Women in America who wear hijabs, have plenty of resources where they could get them, without hijabs needing to be presented in mainstream society.
Hijabs from the very beginning, was/is/ a religious article clothing.
Now, to present it as a fashion statement, that takes away the very meaning of the hijab!
Nonetheless people will still wear them even though they are not forced to wear them and make up some BS story about how they need a fight for the right to wear it.
No one is saying that women can NOT wear hijabs, people are just saying that they don't even want to see it when they go shopping because they it doesn't mean anything to them.
In the Middle East, it is hard to find a store that sells a t-shirt with a cross on it, or a t-shirt that says Jesus on it.
