I live on the north side of Chicago and shortly after George Floyd died from fentanyl and a heart attack I saw an article online about a group of people on the south side preparing to go downtown to protest his death. A young black woman addressing this group said that every morning when she wakes up she wonders if this will be the day she dies. Was she talking about being shot by a black gangbanger who routinely shoot other blacks? Obviously not. She was talking about being shot by a white cop who, according to the left, routinely shoot blacks all over the country simply for being black. All mayoral candidates now talk about the need for more police but no one wants to be a cop in Chicago anymore due to the extreme danger they now face after being demonized as racist murderers by the left. And now even black cops are condemned as anti-black racist terrorists. So now we have a totally unworkable society.

@ricardosalazar5743 I’m retired now but worked for many years with mostly immigrants from all over the world in Chicago. Vietnam, Mexico, Assyrians from Iraq, Jews from the Soviet Union, Indian Muslims from Gujarat and many other places. Excellent people. I know them well since I would often ask them about their former countries and they would tell me stories of their lives. Quite fascinating. All of them though were appalled by black behavior and very much felt it’s blacks, not whites, who very much need to change. Never, ever will you read about that in our wonderfully progressive msm.

@kevinaguilar7541 We lack a common reality, have become incomprehensible to each other and can no longer communicate. Where is the common ground in such an infinitely wide divide? There obviously is none. This can only get worse and is getting worse by the day. Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in 5 years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation.

@bka8851 I follow CWBChicago which certainly does make it clear who’s doing the city-wide wilding, crime and carjacking. All the immigrants I worked with were very much aware of this and appalled by it. All the Vietnamese and Assyrians were strong Trump supporters and even many of the Mexicans. All of them were terrified of America becoming like the countries they fled from. No denying our fallen world is full of evil but there are also many beautiful things so it’s not all bad. Here’s a couple of short videos I recommend about a couple of brothers in Delhi who work to save the birds trying to survive in the poisonous air. Documentary should be out tomorrow. @AklepEtan Since we lack a common reality it’s not surprising that we have no common facts. I believe America has already ceased to exist as a country and has become a reality war of the Woke vs the nonWoke. I admire and follow people like Elon Musk, Dave Rubin, Glenn Greenwald, Megyn Kelly, Dinesh D’Souza, Harmeet Dhillon, Kim Iversen and others like them. A good way to see the difference is to compare the thinking of the well known nonWoke public intellectual Vivek Ramaswamy to the well known Woke public intellectual Ibram X. Kendi. The difference is like the difference between day and night. Kendi says meritocracy should be replaced wherever it can be found with Equity which is equal outcomes for the sake of racial equality. Vivek is appalled by this and says America was made great by meritocracy and this must be maintained to remain a first world country. This is now a major clash going on in America which has ripped the social fabric to shreds and destroyed it as a country.

No group puts more emphasis on racial solidarity than blacks and no group treats other members worse than blacks. The standard reason given is that white racism is responsible for this but that’s the same answer given for all black problems. Never are blacks held accountable for their own behavior. It’s always whitey blamed and hated for black problems. America is a failed state in rapid decline and the world knows it since they see it online just as easily as we do. No doubt the disastrous failure of the American experiment has already drastically altered the course of world history. Last week I saw a video of Gordon Chang saying China is preparing for war with America since the U.S. is in terminal decline so now’s the time to strike.

@necropolistc6357 She would most likely agree but then say the “root cause” of all this violence is white racism, “systemic racism” which is endlessly promoted by everyone from Biden, to academia, our public schools, the msm, Corporate America and pretty much our entire ruling class as the root cause of all black social problems. @necropolistc6357 Did you read this Real Clear Investigations article about how destructively deranged our ruling class is? Obviously not. I wish I could say I’m flabbergasted by how little awareness you have about what’s happening to the society you live in but unfortunately it’s quite the norm. The irrational side of human nature is quite powerful as can be seen by Nazism, Maoism and Stalinism during the dreadful twentieth century and is the root cause of much suffering in our fallen world. Which of these candidates has a plan to stop illegals from coming across our open southern border and coming to Chicago? There are literally hundreds of millions, even billions, of people in the world who could use the magic words “Asylum Seeker” to stroll across our open southern border and be eligible for “humanitarian aid” aka “welfare” which includes goodies like free food, housing and medical care. What’s not to like about coming to America for “asylum” aka “lots of free stuff forever”? Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a southern border? Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a functional government? Wouldn’t it be nice if we still had a country?

Plus no one wants to be a cop in Chicago. How would you like to be a cop on the south side full of blacks who intensely hate cops? No thanks. I’ll pass on that. I prefer staying alive.
