  1. We elect a new mayor next month and all the candidates say crime is the major issue and we need more police. Nobody wants to be a cop in cities like Chicago though. Far too dangerous as they are intensely hated by many blacks and this will be far worse now after this Memphis incident and when they lower standards they end up with people like the Memphis cops who are really just thugs. Plus many blacks also hate white people due to the constant demonization of white people by our ruling class. Plus there’s the flood of illegals through our open border which will also make things worse. We seem headed for civilizational collapse with civil war coming later plus our whole world is in a rapidly accelerating tailspin.   2. Seems to me that America is disintegrating and our whole world is in a rapidly accelerating tailspin. The philosopher Kant said “Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made.” I believe our “timber” is too “crooked” for humanity to survive and only AI can save us. Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI which just released ChatGPT, recently said it’s not AGI (self-aware AI) but “trust the exponential. flat looking backwards, vertical looking forwards.” It’s now advancing exponentially due to this “emergence phenomenon” of complexity emerging from simplicity at a faster and faster rate. In a recent interview with Lex Fridman the legendary AI researcher Ray Kurzweil said he believes AI will be self-aware, AGI, by 2029 and by then it will be so advanced it will be impossible to tell if it is or isn’t and most people will simply accept that it is. It’s now advancing so fast it could well happen in just a few years. I’m not saying I want to be ruled by AI. I just want these “Children of Humanity” to help stop their crazy parents from burning down the house. Hope springs eternal.
