I live on the north side of Chicago and shortly after George Floyd died from fentanyl and a heart attack I saw an article online about a group of people on the south side preparing to go downtown to protest his death. A young black woman addressing this group said that every morning when she wakes up she wonders if this will be the day she dies. Was she talking about being shot by a black gangbanger who routinely shoot other blacks? Obviously not. She was talking about being shot by a white cop who, according to the left, routinely shoot blacks all over the country simply for being black. All mayoral candidates now talk about the need for more police but no one wants to be a cop in Chicago anymore due to the extreme danger they now face after being demonized as racist murderers by the left. And now even black cops are condemned as anti-black racist terrorists. So now we have a totally unworkable society.

  2. Many blended societies have shattered due to loss of trust and cohesion. It’s trust that’s the essential ingredient for cohesion, not blending.

  3. A good way to see the profound difference between us is to compare the thinking of the well known nonWoke public intellectual Vivek Ramaswamy to the well known Woke public intellectual Ibram X. Kendi. The difference is like the difference between day and night. Kendi says meritocracy should be replaced wherever it can be found with Equity which is equal outcomes for the sake of racial equality. Vivek is appalled by this and says America was made great by meritocracy and this must be maintained to remain a first world country. This is now a major clash going on in America which has ripped the social fabric to shreds and destroyed it as a country. America no longer exists as a country internally which is why it is so rapidly unraveling externally.

  4. Cities like Chicago, NYC, LA, and Memphis are most definitely not “winning.” They are in fact disintegrating and becoming unlivable. This is just not working at all.

  5. She’s not calling for rebellion. She’s stating the obvious fact that America has already ceased to exist as a country internally which is why it’s no longer functioning as a country externally.

  6. The “Union” is no longer United and is therefore rapidly unraveling and experiencing ever worsening civilizational collapse. Pay attention to what’s happening in cities like Chicago, Memphis, NYC, LA or pretty much any democratic city and you’ll see what it looks like.

  7. We lack a common reality, have become incomprehensible to each other and can no longer communicate. Where is the common ground in such an infinitely wide divide? There obviously is none. This can only get worse and is getting worse by the day. Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in 5 years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation.
