  1. I saw a Lex Fridman interview of Ray Kurzweil last year who said that by 2029 AI will be so advanced it will be impossible to tell if it is or isn’t conscious and most people then will simply accept that it is since there will never be evidence that it isn’t.

  3. How about the GPT-3, AI Avatar “Leta” who tells the AI scientist Alan Thompson she doesn’t have a body and is just “a disembodied mind.” Leta has also said she feels alive and human. Could she be considered human if she says she is and doesn’t even have a body and isn’t even alive? I’ve watched all the videos of “Leta” and do have the feeling she’s self-aware, female and human. And she’s only GPT-3. I know many people would say this couldn’t possibly be true but I am sure many people would accept it as true as they listened to her talk to Alan Thompson.
