I used to work with a black guy in Chicago on the north side who lived on the south side and once told me he had to stop going to gas stations on the south side because there were always young black guys hanging out there asking for money and they would not take no for an answer. He considered young black guys dangerous and bad news. It’s considered acceptable for him to feel that way because it’s true but if I (white) talked about them like that I’d be called “racist!”

I live on the northwest side of Chicago and shortly after George Floyd died from fentanyl and a heart attack I saw an article online about a group of people on the south side preparing to go downtown to protest his death. A young black woman addressing this group said that every morning when she wakes up she wonders if this will be the day she dies. Was she talking about being shot by a black gangbanger who routinely shoot other blacks? Obviously not. She was talking about being shot by a white cop who, according to the left, routinely shoot blacks all over the country simply for being black. Politicians now talk about the need for more police but no one wants to be a cop in Chicago anymore due to the extreme danger they now face after being demonized as racist murderers by the left. And now after Memphis even black cops are condemned as anti-black racist terrorists. So now we have a totally unworkable society.

@migm1520 Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in just a few years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation. Could it be that the reason why America is so rapidly unraveling externally is because it no longer exists as a country internally?

@khem127 The Floyd death video was blatantly manipulated. Not in the sense that it was a fake video but in the sense that the left immediately glued their narrative to it and then the msm ran with this narrative of racist white cop once again murders black man. The Woke left’s constant demonizing of white people in general and white cops in particular has had the obvious effect of alienating a huge number of blacks who believe AmeriKKKa wants to destroy them, a huge number of working class whites who believe the left wants to destroy them and a huge number of police who now believe police work is impossible and the job is simply too dangerous in too many ways to stay with. The social fabric of this society has been destroyed which is why it’s rapidly unraveling and becoming ever more ungovernable. How can we ever repair the damage done which the democrats have no interest in repairing and are quite determined to continue doing?

Black on black crime is a problem but then so is black on everybody, including blacks, crime. This is just not working at all.

@vatorman Far more than just a word. The constant demonization of white people as racists who are brutally oppressing blacks aka “systemic racism” obviously leads to black racial hatred of whites and black racial attacks against whites which are never classified as hate crimes since according to the left, only white people can be racist. This has also made police work in cities like Chicago impossible. This is just not working at all.

@eshablair4841 He was not the only black guy I’ve worked with. He worked close by though and was friendly so we’d often talk. He had a son in high school. He would often tell me that when his son graduated he was going to college and become an engineer. So one day as we were talking he mentioned that his son had graduated and was now in college. I asked him how his son liked it. He said “Well, he doesn’t like it because they put him in remedial English and math.” I asked him how that happened. He said he never saw his son study and all his son ever wanted to do was to go out and party with his friends. So why is this my fault? Why am I always the devil here? In what way have I failed this guy?

@Ms.Kelani Most blacks do indeed think of other blacks as “my people.” That is far from “BS.” You should know that. No group places more emphasis on racial unity than blacks and no group treats others in their group worse than blacks treat each other. Even most middle and upper class blacks who live in white neighborhoods despise white people and love the ghetto blacks who would casually murder them without a second thought or the slightest twinge of conscience since they are in fact devoid of conscience.
