I recently had a plumber come to my house on the northwest side. His office was in a northern suburb. I asked him if he lived in Chicago and he said no way. He said he used to live in my neighborhood but the crime and bad schools caused him to move to a far northern suburb. He said he doesn’t mind going to jobs on the north side or downtown but refuses to go to the south side because it’s way too dangerous. I didn’t ask but he appeared Mexican, black hair, brown skin. He did a good job and I was well satisfied. It must be terrible to live in a neighborhood where you can’t get a plumber, electrician or carpenter to come but they have only themselves to blame, especially those who voted for Woke Brandon who has no intention of cracking down on the crime since he feels the criminals are his people who he dearly loves.
