I live on the north side of Chicago and shortly after George Floyd died from fentanyl and a heart attack I saw an article online about a group of people on the south side preparing to go downtown to protest his death. A young black woman addressing this group said that every morning when she wakes up she wonders if this will be the day she dies. Was she talking about being shot by a black gangbanger who routinely shoot other blacks? Obviously not. She was talking about being shot by a white cop who, according to the left, routinely shoot blacks all over the country simply for being black. All mayoral candidates now talk about the need for more police but no one wants to be a cop in Chicago anymore due to the extreme danger they now face after being demonized as racist murderers by the left. And now after Memphis even black cops are condemned as anti-black racist terrorists. We lack a common reality, have become incomprehensible to each other and can no longer communicate. Where is the common ground in such an infinitely wide divide? There obviously is none. This can only get worse and is getting worse by the day. Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in 5 years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation.

We have already broken apart internally which is why America is rapidly unraveling externally. We cannot coexist. We are too integrated to separate. Our next stop then is implosion aka civilizational collapse. Watch Chicago if yo want to see what it looks like. Civil war and a breakup will come later.

@mcbraniff Floyd was having trouble breathing even while in the squad car. He had severely clogged arteries and had taken fentanyl. He was having a heart attack and was dying from that. The video was manipulated by the left which glued their narrative to it. Then their media ran with the lie that a racist white cop once again murdered a black man, that this proves once again that AmeriKKKa is evil and racist and this must be fixed by replacing meritocracy wherever it can be found with Equity aka Equal Outcomes. This has ripped the social fabric to shreds and destroyed the country.

The flaw in Matt Taibbi’s thinking is that we have a polarized society where the two sides just see things differently. It goes light years beyond that. We quite literally do now exist in different realities and are simply incomprehensible to each other. Elon Musk recently said “The woke mind virus is either defeated or nothing else matters.” Vivek Ramaswamy totally agrees and is basing his presidential campaign on defeating this Woke mind virus. Vivek has a book called “Woke, Inc.” which is all about what Woke is. America is in the midst of a reality war of the Woke vs the nonWoke and Elon Musk is now at the forefront of the nonWoke tribe. It’s not possible to understand Elon Musk without understanding this. What is “Woke”? Primarily race but then also gender and Equity aka Equal Outcomes. Vivek says the Woke agenda to replace meritocracy with Equity will destroy us as a country. Many others also say this. I agree with them. Equity is in effect is a war on standards for the sake of equality and since standards are the essence of civilization it is in effect a war on civilization itself. A war on sanity by the insane. An impossible situation.
