@glendacollins2898 Everyone at that time believed Hillary would win and the democrats swore they’d then put in someone far more to the left than Garland. McConnell had no way of knowing Trump would win so it does seem that he also assumed Hillary would win and put someone to the left of Garland on the Supreme Court.
