At its worst, it's the spirit of the colonialist Culture War trying to colonize Orthodoxy. And it's impersonal and rationalistic and anti-personalist knowing (therefore against true knowledge).

Combine that with 1 Corinthians 8 & 13 (the whole book really). "We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him." All true knowing is personal (not subjective, not objective). The systematizing of ethical boundaries and fences and gatekeeping is anti-personal. It's the spirit of the Machine to be frank.
