  1. To label everyone who demonstrates against the housing of illegal economic migrants (in the main) as right wing fanatics is misleading. One who loves their country and their way of life has a fundamental right to voice their opinion against what they see as an injustice. When some of your own countrymen are homeless and living on the streets resentment builds when you see others from abroad, illegal at that, being housed, watered and fed. I personally condone violence but there are some amongst the population where tolerance has all but evaporated.

  4. I thought if you are given a job it would be based on one's experience, qualifications and passing an interview??? The majority of the Labour cabinet posts are filled with people with ZERO experience of the post they have been given. Even the deputy PM left school at 16, pregnant and with no qualifications. She attended Stockport college training to be a social worker and was employed at the local council as a care worker.

  5. Rubbish comment. I grew up in a council estate and so did my two kids. They attended the local school. While the majority of the kids left school at 16 with hardly any GCSE's my kids stayed on and did A levels. They studied hard whilst their old school mates hung around the estate drinking, smoking and causing a nuisance. My kids A level grades were good enough to attend higher education. One is now attending medical school (3rd year) and the others is studying physiotherapy. The trouble with this country everyone is jealous of everyone else. If one is in a crappy job or has no job at all there IS a solution. It's called going to COLLEGE and pulling one's finger out instead of going through life blaming others for one's lack of skills. People in the THIRD WORLD would chop their left hand off to have an education. Just because something is FREE does mean one should take it for granted.

  9. Me too. I'm planning either Vietnam or Cambodia or both (visa runs). Both countries are cheap as chips to live in. How about an apartment for around £230 per month - includes gym, swimming pool and a communal lounge area with free WiFi.
