The industrial military complex will convince you otherwise. As the speaker said, it is a very profitable industry. It is a bit like the pharmaceutical industry. The medical establishment will convince you to take chemically laden drugs to prolong your life even though it won't cure you when all you need to do is change your present diet and lifestyle. There are vast profits to be made in war and also in maintaining your illness.
