  1. The local young move to the cities thinking it's flowing with milk and honey. They don't want to dirty their hands and work the land like their forefathers before them. All what is left is the old and infirm. Due to demographics maybe THE solution is to encourage those illegal economic migrants to live in the abandoned houses and till the land. Better that than complete desolation.
