  1. Selling a property and putting the sale proceeds in a bank will actually devalue your money. Inflation at 10% means your money devalues by 10% in real terms as the banks interest rates for savers is virtually zero. Better to invest in a stock paying a dividend of 6% plus but even then you will lose + - 4% of your cash value.
