The Russian speaking populations of the Donbas and Luhansk regions (which have been shelled relentlessly by Ukrainian forces since 2014) now have a chance to vote on becoming part of Russia or not. It is their democratic right to vote as the word 'democracy' has been the excuse of the West to pulverise other nations. By all accounts the West has decided not to accept the outcome of the vote before it is even held. It seems 'democracy' only applies to countries or regions where the result is favourable to the UK and the United States in particular. Double standards in my opinion.

A point of history. THREE MILLION German troops invaded Russia on June 22nd 1941 with 19 panzer divisions, 3000 tanks, 2500 aircraft and 7000 artillery pieces across a thousand mile front. Guess who won? It was not the Germans.

And if they do what happens to Russian prisoners of war? Lately no war correspondents are allowed anywhere near the Ukrainian front lines and that is fact. Without independent witnesses I personally would question the idea of surrender.

Tell that to them face to face.

Obviously you blindly believe the narrative of the Western controlled media. The media did not tell you that the populations of both the Donbas and Luhansk regions have been shelled relentlessly by Ukrainian troops since 2014. The Russian speaking populations of these regions refused to accept the western backed leadership following the violent overthrow of the elected pro Russian government (the Maiden revolution). They have been asking Russia for military aid for a number of years but Putin preferred to negotiate peace with an agreement called the "MINSK agreement". However, the Ukrainian government refused to implement it (following orders from the British and Americans no doubt). This year Ukrainian troops started building up their troops on the frontlines of the Donbas and Luhansk regions for a major assault. Putin ordered a pre-emptive "special operation' to thwart their plans and to aid Russia's kith and kin.

Yes it did in 1994. However, in 2014 right wing fanatics, backed and financed by the West staged a violent overthrow of the legitimate pro Russian government. A pro Western government took over but the mainly Russian speaking peoples of the Luhansk and Donbas regions refused to recognise this new government and took up arms. During the ensuing 8 years Ukrainian forces have been indiscriminately shelling civilians and separatists alike. Putin held out an olive branch of peace with the 'MINSK agreement" which the Ukrainian government failed to implement. Eventually Putin sent in his ground forces to protect Russia's kith and kin from certain genocide. The western media should be ashamed of their collaboration with a proxy war planned in advance with the sole aim of weakening Russia both militarily and economically. If the West (NATO) get away with this I guarantee Armenia will be NATO's next proxy war.
