In 711, King Roderick, the last Visigothic King of Spain, was killed at the battle of Guadalete by Tariq ibn Ziyad and and his North African Berber soldiers.

  22. At last, someone with knowledge of our history, realism and a Nostradamus view of the world. It is true, at the end of the day, our forefathers were ALL immigrants. I do not believe immigration is the main issue but a fear by the indigenous peoples of a 7th century CE religion, called Islam, which to me is totally unfounded. If one reads the Quran 17:70 you will understand why. One has to understand there are groups of extreme fundamentalists in most religions, not just Islam. Extremists hijack their religion and use it as an excuse for violent acts against unbelievers.
