No4.Funding a twenty year war in Afghanistan to appease our American puppet masters and No 5. Having politicians like Truss &co who as soon as their mouth opens billions are wiped from our economy. What the UK spends on illegal migration is a drop in the bucket in real monetary terms. In fact, more money and military equipment have flooded Ukraine than has been spent on the migrants.

  18. Interest rates have averaged around 7% for years. Only in the last few years have they been close to zero. Anyone with any brain cells should figure out interest rates would sooner or later go up again to its long term average. Those who took out large mortgages at 2% to 3% fixed over 3 to 5 years should have known the risk they were taking on.

  24. As you are an army veteran as I am you should know full well the world of propaganda. It is blatantly obvious to me this is a proxy war between NATO and Russia. The Ukrainian leadership know this yet are sending their own fellow countrymen to the front lines as NATO's cannon fodder. I am not pro Ukraine due to the fact Ukrainian forces have been shelling their fellow citizens in the Donbas and Luhansk regions since 2014. I am also not pro Russia due to the fact Russia sent forces into Ukraine. I can understand why (to protect the Russian speaking populations of these regions). At the end of the day war serves no purpose but to enrich those individuals and companies who profit from it. The sheer destruction and the many thousands of wasted lives due to the arrogance and insanity of today's leaders should never be forgiven.

  37. I live on a combined pension of £610 per month. I refuse to increase it by claiming pension credit as a matter of principle. I feel I am luckier than millions of other people in this world. At least I have a roof over my head. A few years before retirement and working in a low paid job I tightened my belt and was able to save enough to pay off my mortgage.

  39. I don't begrudge anyone who becomes wealthy through hard work, education and self sacrifice unlike the members of the royal family. Sunak's parents were not born into wealth. They worked hard, educated themselves and gave their children the discipline and education to achieve success themselves. There is too much envy here in the UK. Whatever school is attended one has the opportunity to excel. To fail then placing the blame onto others is typical of not accepting personal responsibility.

  40. Better enjoy the heatwave whilst it lasts. According to scientists we are heading for a mini ice age with a 60% reduction in solar activity during the mid 2030's. Looking at todays temperature graph by the BBC which goes back over 50 years it looks like temperatures peak every 11 to 15 years. Funny that as the solar minimum corresponds in line with the graph. I have my doubts the increase of earth's temperature is all our fault as the tax hungry authorities want you and I to believe.
