  3. When you have to pay £28 for 50g of rollup tobacco, or £13 for a pack of 20 cigs and £3 for one pint of beer is it any wonder working class people are destitute.

  4. I live on a combined pension of £610 per month. I refuse to increase it by claiming pension credit as a matter of principle. I feel I am luckier than millions of other people in this world. At least I have a roof over my head. A few years before retirement and working in a low paid job I tightened my belt and was able to save enough to pay off my mortgage.

  5. I have had a below knee amputation since my early 20's and I am now 70. As far as the government is concerned there is nothing wrong with me. Now and again I have severe pain from blood circulation problems when trying to walk, painful infected sinuses and now total muscle loss in the stump. I cannot even get a disability blue badge for my car so I can park closer to where I need to go. I have never claimed a single benefit in my entire life - but come on - is it too much too ask for a disability blue badge for my car???
