  6. Interest rates have averaged around 7% for years. Only in the last few years have they been close to zero. Anyone with any brain cells should figure out interest rates would sooner or later go up again to its long term average. Those who took out large mortgages at 2% to 3% fixed over 3 to 5 years should have known the risk they were taking on.

  9. It is not just the UK in recession. The central banks and Federal Reserve (private bank) quantitive easing program printed from thin air TRILLIONS, especially during the recent covid pandemic. The US dollar is the worlds reserve currency. Commodities are priced in US dollars. In real terms fiat currencies have devalued increasing prices of goods and services. The byproduct of all this is soaring inflation worldwide not just within the UK.
