  3. I used to get a school shirt or a pair of socks for Christmas NOT like nowadays. People dig themselves into debt to flood their kids with a mountain of plastic waste.

  4. Jobs are available and if not, attend local college and obtain better qualifications. Relying on the hard working taxpayer for a living is unfair to those who bother to work. It is true some don't give a monkeys and really believe that if they work they are no better off. I would rather work for low wages, cut grass, clean windows or wash dishes than have zero respect. The chippy has a good heart but needs to earn his living too. Maybe offer cheap fish and chips to the vulnerable elderly than those who can afford alcohol and fags. The long term unemployed will soon be forced into retraining schemes and if they do not attend, benefits will be cut. I say, about time.

  8. You are right. The benefit system in the UK penalises the hard working but rewards the lazy. My son's ex has had 6 kids from 4 different fathers. Lives on the dole, affords takeaways, smokes, and basically don't give a toss what other people think. The kids all have anger issues and miss school numerous times. Don't these parents who have numerous affairs have any idea what they are doing to their kids mental state or are the kids a means to more money??

  14. I would not say living on £2000 per month for a mother and 4 young kids is "struggling" to survive. Head for Asia and Africa where the poor live on less than 10 dollars a WEEK.
