  9. Western propaganda has pickled your brains. This war started in 2014 with the violent overthrow of the then pro Russian leadership by CIA funded armed antagonists. The installed pro-USA leadership was all things anti Russian even forcing Russian speakers to denounce their own language and to swear allegiance to the newly installed Ukrainian leadership. This did not go down well with the Russian speaking majority in the Donbas and Luhansk regions. They took up arms to defend themselves from the Ukrainian armed forces. Putin tried for EIGHT years to end the conflict peacefully culminating with the MINSK agreement. We now know (thanks to the ex German Chancellor) it was only a stunt by the West to allow time for Ukrainian armed forces to train and rearm. In a final bid to end the growing conflict between Russian backed separatists and the Ukrainian forces peacefully Putin personally sent correspondence to Biden and NATO. It was rejected out of hand by the White House and NATO. Putin, his back now pushed against the wall, had no choice but to commence his "special military operation"
