The dark ages?? Living in Birmingham I can see why you have come to that conclusion.

Poor policy decisions???? I know the feeling after 13 years of conservative rule

Why shop in town evading crack heads and drunks when its safer and more convenient to drive to the nearest superstore.

Maybe it's because people like you who could afford to leave left. Those who have been abandoned by the likes of yourself are now destitute and depressed seeing their town go down hill due to lack of business.

No CCTV cameras????

Money poured into new expensive housing, shopping malls, pedestrian only streets and park and ride car parks. How about a racing track out of town for boy racers, youth centres and the return of national service. All I see are bored youngsters with nothing to do but play computer games stuck at home. What amazes me they are doing the same school subjects which I did in the 60's. How sad. It's 2024 not 1965. No wonder truancy is sky high. At 13 they should be learning to strip down automative engines and rebuild them. Bored kids will cause problems so the answer is reverse the boredom and make them feel proud of what they do.

Lack of investment??? Smart investors are investing in Asia and Africa NOT a country where the annual growth rate is below 1% with a debt of over two TRILLION. Europe and the UK are finished and are being swamped by illegals putting more financial strain on government coffers. Over 200 years of grandeur at the expense of poor nations are well and truly over. Now it is their turn to rule.

Do Rhyl a favour and forget about sea defences. The quicker it is washed away the better.

When the consumer prefers to shop online as opposed to supporting their local high street shop do not be surprised when one day its closed. We have become a fast food lover paradise. No longer do we spend an hour preparing and cooking evening meals. It is quicker to order a meal through Uber Eats. Hence the proliferation of fast food outlets and the litter which comes with it. There is clearly a lack of social cohesion and a "mind one's business mentality" taking root in today's society. It is no longer the Britain which I was proud of growing up as a young man. When I am overseas and people ask where I am from, I actually feel embarrassed to say England.

2.3 BILLION and counting spent on the Ukraine conflict in 2022. 15 BILLION spent on foreign aid in 2022. 5.6 MILLION spent PER DAY housing illegal migrants. All this while our high streets decay, social housing drys up, cuts in mental health budgets, NHS waiting lists through the roof, potholed roads, queues at food banks, an education system only fit for the Victorian era, thousands of our citizens homeless, an epidemic of knife crime and all this on the watch of a bunch of millionaires in London.
