I was beginning to have empathy for Palestinian civilians during this conflict but after hearing this Hamas official who refuses to accept his fighters committed the murder of hundreds of innocents leaves me gobsmacked. Are these people even human?? Has our world descended into pure madness??

Well, someone has to pay for the upkeep of his S$73 MILLION apartment in Singapore

She said it. To serve the great 'conservative' party NOT serve her "great country and its people".

and when a comedian rules a country he becomes a dictator

Regulate landlords any further and the rental crisis will become even more acute. It is the landlord, many who are simply investing their life savings for a better return, who take on the risk when buying and letting a rental property. The Margaret Thatcher era of selling off social housing at a discount seeded the housing crisis we face today. Today's government policy of bowing to pathetic European laws which allow this country to be swamped with illegal economic migrants does not help the current situation. Maybe the government should give financial incentives to those who open their doors to our homeless. After all, if it is good enough for the Ukrainians then why not our own.

Good for him supporting Brexit but now he has exited himself to Singapore

Who will programme the coordinates?? Whose military satellites will be used?? Who will choose the targets inside Russia?? The US and their NATO cohorts of course. This is nothing but a proxy war against Russia using Ukrainians as cannon fodder. The US was instrumental in the maiden revolution in Kyiv in 2014 when the pro Russian elected government was ousted. The Ukrainian armed forces attacked their own Russian speaking citizens in the Donbas and Luhansk regions who refused to recognise this new US backed government. It was only after eight years of relentless bombardment on Russian speaking Ukrainians, western backed military training and the build up of military equipment did Putin finally decide enough was enough. The US goal is to weaken ALL potential adversaries and if need be that includes the EU and also the UK.

The USA cannot stand competition. While the US and most of Europe go down the economic tube Asia is on the rise. The trillions wasted on worldwide military bases and numerous wars would have been better spent on new infrastructure and job creation. If that was the case, Blinken would not now be grovelling to the Chinese.

My wife and I are pensioners. We are not wealthy by any means but we have paid off our mortgage by tightening our belts in previous years. We are not Labour supporters but for once I agree with them in regard to means testing the Winter Fuel allowance. We feel it is only right for taxpayers money to be spent on helping those in poverty not people like us who have enough to get by.

Yes the EU so middlemen there can take their cut before Africa even sees one grain.
8
actually, most of the world have had enough of the west and US hegemony.
7
What is happening are the youth think they are above the law. If a police officer asks me to stop my vehicle I would comply.
7
Excuse me. Did not Priti Patel's parents flee Uganda in 1972 and arrive in the UK as refugees? It was the time when the president of Uganda, Idi Amin, ordered asians out of his country within 90 days. Maybe she should join them in Rwanda.
6
Not allowed to upset minorities in the UK so this is the outcome.
5
That is the problem is it not. This "silent" majority are too silent. Suella had the gaul to speak the truth yet we remain silent and have allowed our country to be swamped by God knows who.

an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth = nuclear war

How about training diplomats to do their job and end this bloody conflict. The so called diplomats we have at the moment are absolutely useless. Training human beings for armed conflict will only lead to more death and destruction. Russia defeated four MILLION German troops in their homeland during World War 2 so training a few thousand Ukrainians is a total waste of lives. This world , right now, is going down the toilet. We need leaders who place peace and prosperity for all peoples and nations at the top of their agenda. At the moment we are 'led' by self serving pompous idiots. People need to WAKE UP. This is a proxy war between Western Europe/United States and Russia. The Ukrainian nation and its brave population are being used as pawns and cannon fodder to weaken Russia both militarily and economically. The only surefire winner of this 'pre planned' conflict will be the military industrial complex and, if this does not end soon, the losers will be all of us.

a bit like Zelensky with his begging bowl

propaganda no doubt.

I believe chips in Taiwan are triple fried. Great with beer battered haddock.

Give it to Labour and see this country fall off the fiscal cliff.

and Bush, Cheney and Rumsveld

His name wasn't Enoch by any chance???

Get real and face the reality on the ground.

One a puppet lapping at the feet of their puppet master always a puppet.
3
A damp rag anyone??? He has the charisma of a chameleon. Slow, changing his mind countless times and to be frank, overly boring.
3
A chancellor of the Exchequer who has a chemistry degree? He will need all his laboratory skills to concoct a formula to sort out the UK's burgeoning debt crisis.

It is for the US, French and British arms industries.

It was really SMITH but he changed it by deed poll.

My grandson tested positive Monday just gone. Second time since Xmas. It's rising as most people are no longer wearing masks.
3
Good idea. Sign me up.

Crushed into silence by the threat of prison for voicing their views. Who wants to be called racists or extreme "far right"??
3
Our churches are empty. The Brits have turned away from their God. Heaven has turned away.
3
Benefit from article 5? Having a mushroom cloud appearing on one's horizon is one great benefit. If NATO and Russia ever have a fully fledged war it would turn nuclear. There will be no winners I'm afraid. As Putin said recently "Aggressors will be annihilated, WE will go to heaven as martyrs".
3
That is how thick these politicians are. They couldn't run a pub in a brewery.
3
It WILL happen again in the UK. Those NIKE trainers sure look enticing in the shop window and those flat screen TV's next door for a couple of grand a pop even more so.
2
and because we, the public, allow our governments to behave like paid gangsters, maybe we deserve an old flash bang of a radioactive mushroom cloud.
2
She is different. She is African and the last one was Indian. Welcome to the UK's land of opportunity,

Immigration can be a positive thing??? Yes it can be if the immigrant applies for a work visa and is qualified in a skill required in the UK. Illegal immigration (economic migrants) is a crime and should be dealt with accordingly and not house them in some 5 star hotel complex. They should be placed in a detention centre and deported within days like they do in most other countries.
2
Israel: 1.34 million cases, Egypt: 353,000 cases, Lebanon : 584,956 cases. This is just 3 countries picked at random in the Middle East alone so I think your statement of 'barely' any cases within this region is somewhat misleading.

being destroyed in their bunkers in Ukraine
2
I do because the alternative choices we have will be the final nail in this country.
2
include the Lib Dems and the Greens. Useless bunch the lot of them. We have no decent choice in this country. We need proportional representation in this country not just a choice between the same old two parties who are as bad as each other.
2
No one beats Maggie. Despise her or loath her at least she knocks spots off these bunch of clowns.
2
At the time of this incidence there was a war between the Russian backed rebels and the Ukrainian army. Malaysian airline colours are very similar to that of the Russian airline colours. It was leaked the Russian leader, Putin, was flying through that same area that same day. Who would benefit from the death of Putin? The rebels or Ukraine? And finally. Why was permission granted to Malaysian airline Flight MH17 to fly over a war zone? The incident stinks of underhand dealings.

The NHS has become a bloated bottomless money pit. No matter the amount of taxpayers money thrown at it nothing will ever change. Better to spend the money on improving day care, health visiting and care at home. The finances of the country ( 2.3 TRILLION in debt ), a growing elderly population, increasing stress on its services due to massive immigration and a burgeoning obesity epidemic is pushing the NHS to the wall.
2
Most of the other world's nations don't think so
2
They did want neutrality but the US wanted them in NATO.

maybe they voted to stay in the EU
