  1. In a way, Politico (and the others) have shot themselves in the foot by saying Ukraine is losing because the West is "not sending weapons". Before, they could use the narrative that it was the Republicans fault for blocking money to Ukraine, but now that they are caving and the money will arrive, there will still be no weapons because THE WEST DOESNT HAVE THEM TO GIVE. So who are they going to blame now?
