Re the F16 that crashed, best explanation that I heard was that the pilot was trying to evade a missile, either a Patriot or a Russian missile, just like in that recent audio clip of the Russian Su-34 evading a Patriot, but because those F-16s are old, the frame just couldn't withstand the G's he was pulling and fell apart.

TGIF Alex! Something that seems to have flown under the radar but of great importance: Trump's comments at the New York economic association yesterday, where he said that sanctions had been misused/overused and had led to dedollarization, and that Biden's "stupid" comments and rhetoric had led to the Ukraine war, and that "we have to get along with other countries no matter who they are". Brilliant stuff, ignored by the economic and geopolitical illiterates (most people, sadly).

@frankmccarthy1779 If they were combat worthy, yes. We know these were the leftovers, in some cases meant to be used for spare parts.
